What Is SIA Door Supervisor Course ?

What Is SIA Top Up Training Course ?

The SIA Top Up Training course is compulsory. From 1 October 2021, the Security Industry Authority (SIA) is changing the way that Security Guard (SG) and Door Supervisor (DS) licenses are renewed. To renew your licence, you must complete additional training called ‘Top-Up’ training / “Top Up Door Supervisor Refresher.” 

This new SIA Top Up course will upskil door supervisors to the level attained by those who took the course and qualification.

This is a two-day SIA Top Up Training course. The workbook must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.

SIA CCTV Course is required if you work as a CCTV operator (or supply operatives under a contract for services) who uses closed circuit television (CCTV) equipment to monitor the activities of a member of the public in a public or private place. 

The CCTV Course is a 3-day training and is assessed by 2 multiple choice exams and a practical assessment. You will attain a Level 2 Qualification In CCTV Operations which will make you eligible for an SIA CCTV License or Public Space Surveillance License.

SIA Security Guard Top Up Training

SIA Security Guard Top Up Training in London

Security guard Top-up training is a compulsory 1-day upskilling training in order to renew your SIA Security Guard License. Additionally, SIA is changing the way that Security Guard and Door Supervisor Licenses are renewed from the 1st of October. Consequently, this new SIA Top-Up Training will upskill Security Guards to the level attained by those who took a course and qualification after August 2015.

Furthermore, this is a 1 Day SIA Security Guard Top-Up Training course in Stratford, east London. Moreover, this course is required in order to renew your security guard license. The course consists of half a day of training and multiple-choice exams at the end of the course. Nonetheless, the results can take up to two weeks to be released.

  • This Top Up Training Course is for individuals who currently have an SIA Door Supervisor Licence or a Security guard license and they wish to renew their SIA License.

Results are published online within 10-14 working days after your examination date. You will be notified by SMS and email when they are ready to view – in the rare case your results are delayed, we will always keep you informed.

Certificates are usually dispatched 7 days after successful course completion. Please contact us – if it has been over 14 days so we can verify your address and arrange for a replacement.

Please note, you don’t need a certificate to apply for your SIA Licence.

Yes, you would need an SIA Top Up Training to renew your Door Supervisor Licence to allows you to work as a Security Guard and a Door Supervisor.

That means – you can work in retail security, nightclubs and events with a Door Supervisor Licence.

It is a regulatory requirement to do an identity check for all security-related qualifications. Therefore, candidates who are attending Licence linked course are requested to provide the following upon arrival;

  • Two passport size photos
  • Original passport of any nationality or UK photo Drivers Licence
  • Two forms of address proof (originals)

Note: You will not be able to sit the exam if you do not have the correct ID Documents. (Government Requirement)

The course fee does not include the licence fee. The licence application fee of £220 is payable to directly to the SIA when applying for the licence – which is valid for three years.
