SIA Top UP Training course is for anyone looking to Renew their SIA license and continue working as a Door Supervisor, Security Officer or Security Guard. Licence holders can work as Door Supervisor, Events Security, Retail Security and Corporate Security Officer.

Please Note Emergency First Aid Training Is Compulsory Please Include If You Have Not Completed It Already.

How long is the training course?
It has been designed to be completed in 2 Days (although longer tuition or self-study options may be available).

Do I need Emergency First Aid Certificate to renew my SIA License? 

Yes, You will need Emergency First Aid + SIA Top Up Training to renew your SIA License.

What documents do I need to bring with me?

You will be required to bring Identification documents such as Passport or drivers licence and two proof of address HMRC letters, Tax bill, utility bill or bank statements etc. Along with 2 passport size photograph.

Entry Requirements: You must have Emergency First aid at work certificate or completion evidence and you must be over 18

What to Expect from a SIA Top UP Training Course Exam

On the final day of your course, there will be 4 multiple-choice exams and a practical assessment. Everything you need to know is covered in the Door Supervisor Course, and your training instructor will fully prepare you for success. Furthermore you will be provided with mock exam papers to help you be ready for the exams.

SIA Top UP Training Course Content:

This qualification is assessed by practical assessments and multiple-choice examinations.

Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry:

• A 10 Question, 20-minute exam paper. The pass mark required is 70%.

Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry:

• A 5 Question, 10-minute exam paper. The pass mark required is 70%.
  This unit is also assessed by a 5-minute practical exercise with communication devices (I.e. – two-way radio)

Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry:

• A 30 question exam paper taken in 45 minutes requiring a pass mark of at least 80%. Followed by the practical where every learner performance every technique and is internally assessed by the trainer. Learners require 100% for this part.
